Withdraw With Immediate Effect The History of Ghana Textbook Primary 2 – GES
A released statement from the Headquarters of the Ghana Education Service (GES) signed by Mrs Assan E. Patty, the Director of Schools And Instruction Division of the service has called for an immediate withdrawal of the History of Ghana textbook for Primary Two (2) pupils.
According to the statement, some concerns have been raised with the Primary 2 History of Ghana textbook which is curently in use.
This has led Management of the National Council For Curiculum and Assessment (NaCCA) decide to withdraw, with immediate effect, the approval of the textbook titled “History of Ghana Textbook for Primary 2” pending further investigations.
“You are therefore requested to disseminate this information to all primary schools. AIl Primary 2 teachers are to immediately cease using the above-metioned textbook for history lessons”.
“The said textbooks should be collected and kept in readiness for retrieval. Please treat this information as urgent”, the release added.
