MoE Releases Fresh Update On The Distribution Of TM1 Laptops To Primary & JHS Teachers
DISTRIBUTION OF LAPTOPS UNDER THE ONE-TEACHER ONE LAPTOP PROGRAMME
The Ministry of Education in a statement intercepted by Honestynewgh is hereby communicating to all teachers especially teachers in the Ashanti region and all primary school teachers across the country that the distribution of TM1 Laptops for the primary schools will commence immediately after the Easter holidays and expected to be completed by the end of July, 2022″.
According to the management of MoE, it has noted that there are isolated mop ups that ought to be carried out.
“To date, distribution of the TM 1 Laptop to all tcachers in the Senior High Schools throughout the country has in principle, been
completed. It is however, noted that there are isolated mop ups, that ought to be carried out.”
The management once again stated that, distribution of the laptops to teachers in the Junior High School level, have been completed in 15 Regions with the exception of Ashanti Region and it is expected that by the third week of June, the distribution for teachers in the Ashanti Region would have been completed.
“It is programmed that distribution for the primary schools will start immediately after the Easter holidays and expected to be completed by the end of July, 2022”.
“Teaching staff in the offices will receive their laptops immediately distribution to the primary school teachers are completed” the release added.
Management is working closely with the supplier to ensure that these timelines are strictly adhered to in order for all eligible teachers to receive their laptops by the end of August, 2022.
Management therefore appeals to all teaching staff to be patient as the schedule unfolds to its logical conclusion.
