General Overview of 2022/2023 GES Lower Rank Promotion
The managment of Education Service (GES) has once again revealed it plans in fast-tracking the process in the 2022/2023 Lower Rank Promotion.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) in 2021 directed the various district directorates to put together list of qualified teachers at the SS-II rank to be supervised for promotion. Due to the pandemic outbreak in 2020, the promotion process was halted. Therefore, teachers who were appointed by the GES in 2016 were not promoted.
GES through the various district directors has assured teachers in this category that the promotion of lower ranks would commence right after the promotion of senior ranked staff.
THE LATEST UPDATE FROM GES ON 2022/2023 LOWER RANK PROMOTION
The management of Ghana Education Service is aware of concerns raised by some sections of staff, especially those whose promotions are by Work Inspection.
According to the statement from the managment, the verification is almost completed and that, processing of the payment will begin by May, 2022.
“The verification is almost completed and management wishes to assure all staff involved that the processing of payment will begin by May, 2022”
“It is hope that by the end of July 2022, all the effected staff would have been placed on their required scale and paid”, the statement added.
Which Section Of GES Staff Is Considered As Lower Rank Staff?
Per the conditions attached to GES promotions of its employees, especially teachers, the senior superintendent II (SS-II) and the senior superintendent I (SS-I) are considered to be the lower ranked staff who need to be promoted if and only if they meet the requirements below.
