The May 2023 edition of the Ghana Teacher
Licensure Examination (GTLE) begins today,
May 4, 2023.
The examination is expected to take two days, starting today through tomorrow, May 5, 2023, at all centres.
The National Teaching Council is mandated by Education Regulatory Bodies Act 2020 (ACT 1023) to regulate the teaching profession in Ghana.
EXAMINATION SCHEDULE
LITERACY
Literacy is expected to be written on 4th May, 2023 from 9:00am to 11:00 am.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
Essential Skills will also be written on the same day, thus 4th May, 2021 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm after the first paper.
NUMERACY
Candidates are expected to write the numeracy on Friday, 5th May, 2021 between the hours of 9:00am to 11:00 am.
Due to the GTLE reforms which is to be implemented this year, the Council has given three chances to candidates who are associated with the traditional GTLE (Essential Professional Skills, Literacy and Numeracy) to redeem themselves.
