Ghana School Of law Finally Inducted 499 Law Students Who Were Earlier Denied Admission
The Ghana School of law has inducted 499 students who were earlier denied admission for allegedly not meeting the cut-off point for entry.
The induction service happened on 4th of March, 2022.
The aforementioned students were denied admission despite scoring 50 percent which is the required pass mark.
This comes after parliament, on Friday 29th October voted in support of the motion filed by the Majority Chief Whip Alexander Kwamina Afenyo Markin to compel the GLE to admit all the students who had passed tge entrance exams per the advertised rule in the examination.
Following the resounding vote in support of the motion, the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Joe Osei-Owusu, directed the GLC to “proceed and admit all the students who passed in accordance with the advertised rules of the examination.”
The AG recommended that the GLC ensure that both sets of students are called to the bar in the next two years.
