GES set to recruit 40,000 teaching & non- teaching staff. Check out when portal will be opened
The management of Ghana Education Service (GES) is yet to open the GES recruitment portal for all qualified interested graduates from both colleges of education and universities to apply for this year’s 2021 GES recruitment.
The portal which was supposed to be opened somewhere in last month September is still closed without any official statement from GES to explain the reasons for the delay. This, as a result has caused a disarray in the minds of all the newly trained teachers who are yet to apply as to the status of their application and when GES are going to release their postings.
However, the management of GES has indicated during the presentation at the Ghana Teacher’s Awards Ceremony that, the service is set to recruit to a total of 40,000 teaching and non-teaching staff when the portal is officially opened.
Mr. Awal Mohammed, the Minister of Tourism and Culture who made the above pronouncement in his presentation also added that the government has recruited 93,000 teachers since 2017 but this year alone the GES is aiming at bringing in 40,000 teaching and non-teaching staff to ease the congestion in our schools.
Speaking to Honestynewgh.com one official who form part of the GES recruitment committee revealed that for now the management is working on the portal to ensure that things will move smoothly when the portal is officially opened.
“The portal will be opened soon when everything is set”, he added.
