VIDEO || I earned Ghc 1,500 as salary in Ghana, now i earn Ghc 9,000 in Vietnam- Female teacher revealed

Mercy Agyei Ankomah, a Vietnam based English Language teacher has revealed that she makes Ghc 9,000 monthly.  However her take home was Ghc 1,500 in Ghana.

In an interview with SVTV Africa Africa’s ‘Daily Hustle Across the World,’ madam Mercy revealed that she is not paid on time despite the huge amount he takes.

Apparently, the former Juaben Senior High School teacher had a good life in Ghana. She decided to travel because of the “sweet” words from some travel agents.

“This time around, the salary is better. Before the pandemic, black teachers took $600. But during the pandemic, the white teachers left. So now I take $1300. Others also receive $1200 to $3000.”

“The problem is that we were sent home in February due to a festival. So I have nothing to rely on. We are in March, and it’s the same,” she told DJ.

Mercy advised Ghanaians not to go to Vietnam because there are no jobs except for teaching English. Miss Ankomah said that even though all of this, she has no plans to return to Ghana.

According to her, job lasts for two months and then you stay at home for seven months and spend all the money.

“I’m not making up my mind to come to Ghana, but I’m not also ready to stay here. I know Ghana is expensive now,” she stated.
