50% Capitation Grant for End of Term Exams Next Academic Year – GES
Management of Ghana Education Service in a statement signed by the Director General of Education, Dr. Eric Nkansah wishes to bring to the attention of all Regional Directors that 50% Capitation Grant should be used to conduct end of term examination for pupils.
“Management of Ghana Education Service (GES) wish to bring to the atention of
Regional Directors, payment of Captation Grants to schools”, the statement said.
From the management, Metro/Municdpal/District Offices are to use not more than Fifty Percent (50%) of the
amount in conducting the End of Year Examination for their schools.
The remaining amount shoud be sent to the schools for the running of schools by
Headteachers.
Regional Directors of Education are to bring this to the attention of all Metro/MunicipalDistrict Directors of Education.
What Is Captation Grant?
Capitation Grant has to do with am amount of money the government pays to public schools to run the affairs of the school.
The primary aim was to eliminate the financial barriers depriving children from Basic Education, improving access and enhancing the quality of education.
