The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially announced the timetable for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) for private candidates.

Subjects to Be Written – 2025 BECE for Private Candidates
Candidates sitting for the 2025 private BECE are expected to take the following core and elective subjects:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Integrated Science
- Basic Design and Technology
- Religious and Moral Education
- Social Studies
- French
- Ghanaian Language
- Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
Each of these subjects will consist of two parts:
Paper 1 – Multiple-choice questions
Paper 2 – Essay or structured questions.
It is important for both students and educators to familiarize themselves with these subjects and prepare adequately ahead of the exams.
